Claude for sales teams
Claude for sales: more time selling.
Salespeople lose hours to research, notes, follow-ups and proposals. Claude prepares the account brief, turns the call into a follow-up and drafts the proposal, so more of the week goes on conversations with buyers.
Call notes · Northgate Foods
- - 3 sites, ordering by email
- - errors at month end, Priya fed up
- - budget sign-off in Jan
- - wants demo w/ ops lead
- - send case study??
Summary
Manual ordering across three sites causes month-end errors. Budget decision in January.
Follow-up draft
Hi Priya, thanks for your time today. As promised, here's the case study, and a few times for a demo with your ops lead next week…

What Claude helps with
Less admin, more selling.
Account research
A short brief on a prospect before a call: what they do, recent news and likely priorities.
Call notes to follow-up
Your rough notes turned into a clear summary, next steps and a follow-up email.
Proposals in your format
First drafts built from your templates, pricing and past winning proposals.
Objection handling
Prepare for common objections with answers grounded in your product and case studies.
Personalised outreach
Relevant, specific first messages, not templates with a name swapped in.
Pipeline summaries
Weekly summaries of deals, risks and next actions for the team or leadership.
Prompts to try
Copy, paste, adapt.
Starting points written for sales teams. Replace the [brackets], leave out names and anything personal or sensitive, and check the output before you use it.
Pre-call brief
I have a discovery call with [company], a [description]. Using their website and what I paste below, write a one-page brief: what they do, three likely priorities, two questions that would uncover need, and how our [product or service] might help. Flag anything you are unsure about.
Follow-up from notes
Here are my rough notes from a call with [name] at [company]. Write a follow-up email that thanks them, summarises what they told us in their own terms, confirms the agreed next step and date, and attaches nothing we did not discuss. Under 180 words.
Objection prep
List the five objections a [buyer role] is most likely to raise about [product or service], and for each give a short, honest response using the facts and case study below. Do not overstate anything.

What we set up
One sales playbook, every rep.
- 01
A sales Project
Product information, pricing, case studies and winning proposals in one place.
- 02
Proposal and follow-up Skills
Your structure and tone, applied the same way by every rep.
- 03
CRM and email connectors
Claude finds the account history and drafts in context, within each person's access.
Safe use
Four rules every rep follows.
- 01
Every proposal and follow-up is read by the salesperson before it is sent.
- 02
Prices, discounts and commitments come from your approved sources, not from Claude.
- 03
Customer data stays in approved tools, with access matching each person's role.
- 04
Outreach respects marketing and privacy rules, and opt-outs are honoured.
Can Claude connect to our CRM?
Claude can connect to many business tools through connectors, including several CRMs, and custom connectors can link to others. What is available depends on your plan and your CRM. Connectors act within each user's existing permissions.
Will AI-written outreach hurt our response rates?
Generic AI messages can. Used well, Claude helps reps write more specific, better-researched messages faster. The rep still decides what to send.
Can Claude write proposals for us?
It can produce a strong first draft from your templates, pricing and past proposals. A salesperson checks the details, especially pricing and commitments, before it goes out.
