Who we are

Hizmedia Intelligence is the AI consultancy division of Hizmedia. In this notice, “we” and “us” means Hizmedia. We are the controller of the personal information described here. You can contact us about privacy at director@hizmedia.com.

What we collect

  • When you email us, use our contact form or book an audit: your name, email address, company name and anything you choose to tell us about your business.
  • When you request our AI usage policy template: your name, email address and, if you give it, your company name. We use them to email you the template and to let our team know you asked for it, so we may follow up once. We do not add you to a mailing list.
  • How you found us, when you use our contact form or template form: the page you arrived on, the website that sent you (for example, a search engine), any campaign tags in the link, and the pages you viewed before getting in touch. We only keep this history if you have accepted analytics cookies. It is held in your own browser for that visit only, cleared when you close the tab, and only sent to us if you submit the form. If you have not accepted analytics cookies, we only receive the page you were on just before the form.
  • Website analytics: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not identify you, and, only if you accept, Google Analytics (see below).
  • Information stored in your browser: if you type your business name or choose an industry on our site, it is saved only in your own browser so the page can be tailored to you. It is not sent to us unless you choose to email us.

Cookies and analytics

With your permission, we use Google Analytics, provided by Google, to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are viewed and how people arrive. It sets cookies (named _ga and _ga_*) that last up to two years. We do not use it for advertising, and advertising features are switched off.

Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode until you choose: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device, though Google may receive basic signals without identifiers, such as that a page was viewed. Analytics cookies are only set if you click Accept on our cookie banner. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page; withdrawing consent stops Google Analytics using cookies and removes them. Your choice is remembered in your own browser.

Google may process this data outside the UK. Google's own privacy policy explains how it handles the data. Every cookie and stored item is listed in our cookie policy.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange an audit or call (our legitimate interests, or steps before a contract).
  • To send you a resource you asked for, such as our AI usage policy template, and follow up once (our legitimate interests).
  • To deliver work you have asked us to do (performance of a contract).
  • To understand and improve our website (our legitimate interests, and your consent for Google Analytics cookies).

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use trusted providers to run our business, such as our email provider, Vercel, who hosts this website, and Google, if you accept analytics cookies. They process information on our behalf and only as we instruct. Some providers may store data outside the UK; where they do, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry emails for as long as needed to respond and follow up, and client records for as long as the law requires for business and tax purposes. Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for a copy in a portable format. To use any of these rights, email director@hizmedia.com. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
