In practice

Connector: what it means for your business

Connectors are what turn Claude from a chat window into part of how work gets done. Connected to email, files, calendars or a CRM, Claude can find the right document, check a customer's history or draft a reply in context. Because connectors act with each person's own access, the setup work is deciding which tools to connect and reviewing what they expose.

Are Claude connectors safe?

Connectors work within each user's existing permissions, so Claude can only reach what that person can already reach. Safety comes from choosing which connectors to enable, reviewing what they expose and requiring approval before Claude takes actions.
